(90482) Orcus, global evolution

(90482) Orcus was discovered in February of 2004 and named in November of 2004. It has a perihelion of 30.3 AU and an aphelion of 48.1 AU. It has a diameter of about 950 km. There are prediscovery images back to December and January of 2003, March, February and January of 2002, December and January of 2001, December of 2000, April of 1996, March of 1993, November and January of 1992, February of 1991, November of 1954 and November of 1951.

The perihelion is at 12º07' de piscis (vigintile aspect, 18º, =quintile [0º Capricorn]; 7' orb). It has an inclination of 20.5º, with the ascending node at 28º26' Sagittarius (square aspect, 1º34' orb), whose argument of perihelion is equivalent to 13º41' Gemini (quintile aspect, 72º; orbe 1º41').

In Etruscan mythology, Orcus was the grim reaper, collecting the dead and bringing them to the underworld where Pluto ruled. Orcus is the counterpart of Pluto, destined to eventually be pushed aside by the rising Pluto.

If the key word for (134340) Pluto is 'core', then the key word for (90482) Orcus is 'context'.

The aim with (134340) Pluto is to reach the core of our deep inner self to make a personal transformation. After that, we are a new person, and that finally changes our whole word. We have reached the next step in the individual evolution, like the Capricorn transformation in the movie "Himalaya: L'enfance d'un chef" (1999, 2006).

The main theme to be careful with (134340) Pluto is: "we only have power over ourselves". But with (90482) Orcus, what really matters is the context outside us, which we are part of it. The decision about life or death, about to continue a task or abandon it, are taken depending on the external situation, because with (90482) Orcus the aim is not the individual evolution (as Pluto), but the global evolution of the whole group which we are part of it.

Sometimes the only way to save the people close to us, is to renounce to life (like Silka at the beginning of the movie "Brother Bear", 2004). And sometimes the only way is fighting for life (like Kenai at the end of the movie "Brother Bear", 2004). It depends on the specific situation or context.
