For you with Aries rising, the month of December sees much of your energy turn to matters to do with learning, beliefs, foreign contacts and travel. This is going to be more the case as Mercury joins with the Sun in the sign of Sagittarius between 5th and 24th of the month. Learning is always a good thing and your go ahead nature with Aries rising will drive you forward to gain knowledge. Maybe you will book up educational courses now in preparation for the new year as part of a fresh start for 2014? If you are interested in learning a new language, this is a super time to start, indeed learning new skills and meeting new people whose culture or beliefs differ to your own will benefit you enormously. In truth, anything that stirs your intellect is good for you and may people start to learn under this influence. These matters will be enhanced enormously by the new Moon in Sagittarius on the 3rd of the month landing on the fixed star Antares giving great passion for all these matters in your life for the weeks to come. The Mercury square to Neptune also on this day could see a mix up in travel plans, confusion over anything you publish, trouble of matters of a legal nature or somebody talking ill of you behind your back. This might be a time when you have to makes a sudden vital journey, or a phone call you take, email or letter you receive or write will be of great importance to you.
This month of December astrologically is going to be quite a quiet one but it is notable for two planets turning in opposite directions within the space of 4 days. Firstly we have Venus slowing down in Capricorn to a stop on 17th December before turning reverse and moving into retrograde motion for 6 weeks. Venus will stop and move back in the work and career part of your chart and this may cause some difficulties. Firstly you will be re-evaluating work relationships and your day to day meetings with bosses and senior people could see misunderstandings or become quite frosty. Secondly your sense of value will be impaired so if you are purchasing anything especially for work purposes you might find that you over pay or that your sense of how much something should cost could be wildly off the mark. This is a handy time for returning to projects and work that has not been completed, as you may get new insights and ideas now that would not have been stimulated if Venus was moving in direct motion. The other planet turning from retrograde to direct motion is Uranus. Uranus is currently found in your home Ascendant sign of Aries and now at last you can let many of the frustrations out that have been holding you back and you can start to make the all important changes that you need to make in an outwards sense. That means making changes to your personal style and appearance, saying what you want to say and doing what you want to do, even if it upsets many around you. I suspect you will feel this feeling of personal liberation as Uranus turns direct on 21st of the month.
Mars in this month moves into the sign of Libra on the 5th for a 6 month stay and this is because Mars will start to slow down as the month moves on and will eventually go into retrograde mode too. This transit into Libra and the relationships zone of your chart will bring a lively and very open attitude to all your partnerships, both personal and professional and the forthright side of Mars will surely air any problems or differences of opinion now so that either a compromise can be found or that these matters can be settled. Of course Mars can take on a rather aggressive tone if you are not careful and then small problems may escalate into far bigger and nastier ones and these could turn into outright conflict. This is the house of open enemies and you may be in a mood to tackle those who oppose you head on, especially as Mars in Libra wants to fight for justice and fairness. The red planet?s influence in the 7th house is not all bad though and if you have good relations with your partner, wife or colleague then you will be able to work together to achieve a great deal not only in this month, but in the ones ahead.
