In Notice Continuation of the National Emergency with Respect to Iran, you will find some interesting dates. On 14/11/1979 US decided to freeze Iran assets. At that time people had estimated $50 billion. It was held at the Chase Manhattan Bank, as they called it then. So it must be at least worth $200 billion by now. Not exactly peanuts. So it's well worth looking at the astrology of this momentous occasion. Please note also that there is also the implementation of agreements made on 19/01/1981.
I put the two dates in my Astrology program and I got some very interesting results. Let's look at the 1981 agreements. You can see that it was in the period when we had the famous Saturn-Jupiter conjunctions. But on this particular day Venus had made a 90 degree angle and an opposition to the Moon, which is quite unique. Such an awkward aspect and no wonder there really is no agreement. Then you have the Mars-Mercury in opposition to North Node, yet making some good aspects to Saturn-Jupiter. So there is plenty of energy there and it all gets focused on 10 degrees Aries. Does it come to surprise that 10 degrees Aries is so part of the Iranian Nationalistic folklore new year. As a stern nationalist I would interpret this as a good omen. The Aries spirit should be in charge.
Now let's look at the date when the date when US decided to freeze Iran's assets. Was there anything in the horoscope to signify money, inflexibilty, secrecy, and just plain odd. Yes. All you need to know is the Sun is in Scorpio (signs of all the aforementioned) and so is Uranus. Now Uranus deals with corporations (or in this case Chase Manhattan). Uranus is exahlted in Scorpio and to make it very unique and odd, it is conjunct with Sun. This conjunction and the overall 4th harmonic of the chart create inflexibility. This chart is a midpoint astrologers dream, as the Moon is conjunct with Saturn, and so it Mars and Jupiter, but they are balanced with all the other planets in the other side of the 22 degrees Libra-Aries axis.
So what are we to expect in the future. Well it comes down to the good old Saturn transit in Leo. As Saturn reaches the critical 15 degreees to Leo then it will be within striking distance to the famous 22 degrees Aquarius next Summer, with Mars getting there first. This phenomena has not happened yet since the mullah's coup d'etat, so they will be well and truly tested. I hope they have astrologers who have told them something for their own sake.
