A huge tornado has touched down in the suburbs Oklahoma City at around 15.32 hrs local time in the US. According to all reports, this tornado was 1 mile wide and carrying 200 mile an hour winds. It ripped through housing estates in the region of Moore causing total and utter destruction including pounding an elementary school too. It seems as if the Mid West is still going to be under tornado watch tomorrow as well.
This tornado obviously came along at the time of exactitude the Uranus Pluto square at 11:14 degrees of Aries/Capricorn respectively. Uranus represents unpredictability and shocking events and Pluto is the planet of death and destruction, but this is not the full story. Just as significant, Mars which can be violent was approaching a conjunction with the dangerous fixed star Capulus and was also making a very focused quindecile aspect to Saturn, the planet of loss and fear. Notice Mars at the time of the hit of the tornado was in the 8th house of death and enforced change.
So why Oklahoma City? Well lets look back to the Solar eclipse just a couple of weeks ago on the 10th May. Relocated to Oklahoma, we have Saturn on the Ascendant just into the 12th house of suffering opposite to Mars on the Descendant conjunct on the eclipse point. With these two malefic planets in opposition across the angles of this chart and with Saturn the planet of loss on the ascendant, this promised a nasty event may well occur here in Oklahoma City the light of this eclipse. The quindecile occurring today was the next potential focused angle after the opposition on the day of 10th May. Seeing as Pluto was also trine to Mars and square to Uranus, promising potentially unpredictable (Uranus) destructive (Pluto) and violent (Mars) events, this was a difficult eclipse. Also on this day Mars was sitting exactly on the fixed star Menkar (a star of collective grief) in the constellation of Cetus the Whale, another nasty influence I highlighted on my Podcast of May 2013 along with Venus which was sitting conjunct the star Alcyone, the star in the Pleiades in the constellation of Taurus, bringing the possibility of much social (Venus) suffering and tears (Alcyone).
