For 26 years the Iranian people have had to put up with a bunch of zombies that will not talk to USA. The theocrats have shown that once they contact USA directly, then their legitimacy has ended. It is not as if they are the only people to benefit from this. All the people who act as proxies for the them and USA, aggravate and compound any situation. For any scenario, all the media speculation about what the impending decisions are going to be from either perspective, sells news, and keeps commentators in business. These "go betweens" have done nothing but to use both Iran and USA to play the balance of power game. The EU3 for example have made so much out of being "go betweens". The list is endless. But now that it is known for sure, that there will no longer be any direct contact (I said there would not be); the neocons in both USA and Iran have the upper hand, against the multipolars such as EU3, Russia, China, and their more pragmatic representatives in the Islamic Republic. So the US will have to either follow the EU3, which it won't. It will then try to force the EU3 to support any reporting it will do to the UN, which the Russians and Chinese will not support. Ultimately the EU will have to decide on whose side it wants to be. The Russians and Chinese or USA. The Brits will go for USA, the French and to a lesser extent the Germans will go for Russians and Chinese. It all depends on the various elections in EU. But it is really interesting seeing the Grand Square forcing decisions. GWB did say that the world has to decide clearly whether they are with us or not. I wish it was that simple.
