Hot on the heels of Mars conjunct Vega, Mars moves into a conjunction with the star Rukbat a day later. Rukbat is to be found in the constellation of Sagittarius in the knee of one of the legs of the Centaur. In Arabic, Rukbat literally translates as ?knee?. For an archer to shoot straight and true, he has to have a steady stance, and the knees and legs provide this for him. This is a star where you find solidity, a stable base providing a position from where one can act.
Mars arriving here brings the idea of beginning something solid and strong, laying down foundations for future growth and progress. In a sense this star which although in the constellation of Sagittarius embodies the whole notion and ethos of Capricorn's reputation for strength and stability.
