Coincidence is a wonderful thing. Coincidence is what keeps us Astrologers alive. Iranians have measured time, and recorded the time of events before anyone else. Herodotus arrogantly commented, that Persians have an odd habit of celebrating birthdays. It was us Iranians, and moreover, us Iranian Astrologers that celebrated the Birth of Jesus Christ. The Christians refered to the Iranian Astrologers as the Magi. In those days of course Astrology and Astronomy were mixed. Looking through the Zend Avesta, many Zoroastrians and other Iranian scholars, who know nothing about Astrology, and arrogantly dismiss it, will not appreciate the vast connotations.
The whole of present day Iranian calendar is Astrological. The months are exactly in line with the Zodiac. Aries is Farvardin, and the same meanings associated with Aries, are found in the Zend Avesta prayers. But tell that to a Zoroastrian Priest, and you will be given a second look. Many people do not know these facts, but they are of paramount importance. The spirit of Iranian Astrology is deeper and more powerful than anything else. It not only explains all the events in Iran but shows the future.
Going back to coincidence. I am inspired, just like many people, by what happens around me. We all look for clues, tips; be they visual, audio, dreams in real life, to supplement our inner feelings and thoughts. Many Iranians these days are exhaused. We have tried every idea, racked our brains, shaken our dearest friends to understand the condition we are in. My solution was using Astrology. But I look for coincidences to help me forward. Like a lonely sailor in troubled waters, I will look for anything, to help me steer and find the truth in the here and now.
I knew that Ahmadinejad was going to take the Oath of Office today, and that today was more important moment than any other. I love listening to the radio as I write, and nothing is more refreshing than good old Classicfm in the UK. One of the problems we Astrologers have, is knowing the exact time and place an event takes place. I do not live in Iran, and I do have access to their radio and television service; to sit there with an accurate watch and get the exact time. So what do I do? I weave through the newswires and look at the time stamps. Of course we have the problem of delay. But in Astrology the event and the announcement of the event are important. Making it public at a certain time is important. Now, none of the news agencies report the news at a particular time; so coincidence comes to play, when we get loads of reports around the same time.
I was rummaging through all the newswires, and just could not get to grips with the time. I finally stumbled across a few near around 05:45 GMT or 09:15 Teheran time. AFP seems to have the earliest time of 05:41 GMT. Why was I so fussed over the time? Well the reason is that in Astrology we follow a feature, called the Ascendant, that is very important as it changes every split second. It just so happened that the Ascendant was changing from one sign to another, around the same time as the moment of the Oath. The Ascendant was changing from Virgo to Libra around that time. Anyway once I found the right time, and made the right conclusions, I realised a number of historical coincidences, and the radio played Land of Hope and Glory by Edward Elgar. A lot happened at that time for me to have that belief and faith in what I was doing. That was my way of getting to the truth. That was the coincidence. The feeling was immense. Why was it that the radio happened to play that tune at exactly the moment that those thoughts whizzed through my head? Ahuramazda inside me told me I guess. Soroosh. Whateva'.
The chart of the Oath of this illegally elected Islamist, very much ties in with a number of other much older charts. 'Phew', I said. Notice how the other ceremonies he has had last week, do not coincide with any of the older historical times I will show below. How remarkable is it; that with all the effort the Islamists have tried to dissociate themselves from anything spiritually Iranian; they have chosen an exact time that other Iranians from completely different points of view, have chosen before. Or maybe they did not, and it was just pure coincidence. Lovely thought isn't it. Anyway what are the coincidences. The Ascendant is 3 degrees Libra, the MC is 4 deg Cancer. The Sun is 13 deg 52 seconds Leo. The Moon is 26 degrees 03 seconds. Without going throught the whole list, I will just jump to the immediate observations, while they are fresh in my mind. The Ascendant and MC are exactly the same as the chart for the Coronation of Reza Shah on 25 April 1925 at 12:43 GMT. We actually know the moment when the Crown touched his HIM's head. Many Astrologers have looked at that chart, much of what happened in 1978 and 1979, can be explained by looking at the transits of the planets to this chart.
Are there more coincidences? Let's go back in time, and perhaps this moment of Coronation, is somehow connected to another important event. We know the moment when the decree was given for Constitutional Monarchy in Iran on 5th of August 1906. Now, how about that for coincidence. I bet not one person in Iran knows that the moment of the Oath Ahmadinejad has just taken, is so close to the beginning of democracy in Iran almost one hundred years ago, that was decreed by Mozzafaradin Shah on his birthday on 14th Mordad or 14 degrees Leo.
But conicidences do not stop there. Hey if you that was great, wait for this. All of us Iranians have a deep feeling associated with one moment in the history of Oaths in Iran that really produces a wonderful coincidence. As human beings, the first time we ever came up with a universal doctorine, that is the foundation to any form of tolerance in human society, is the Good Deed that Cyrus the Great did in Nowrooz 559 BC, namely the Declaration of Human Rights. If you look at the position of the planets, for the exact time the Spring started on that gorgeous Nowrooz day in 559 BC, you will see so many planets almost exactly in the same positions in the other charts of Iran that came afterwards.
So what are we to conclude from all this? Can we make a political comment about it, not really. Can we make a religious comment about it, not really. But one thing for sure, we are all talking about the same place and the same people. The events now are all connected to older events. No matter what these people in power now say, they are part of Iran's own history. The Spirit of Iran is stronger than anything.
