Ever since 1978, when I heard for the first time about Ayatollah Khomeini, I have been trying to figure out his astrology. As usual many mysterious stories are given about this weirdo. I do not like any person that identifies with death, and this character has always managed to wiggle out of my reach. I have come across a lot of dates of his birth. As astrologers we need a person's birth in order to get a handle on them. This is after all our forte. Crazy as it sounds I came across this article History of Iran: Ayatollah Khomeini, and put the date in my horoscope program, and bingo. It made sense.
I will put this in baby language so that every one understand. The energy that creates such a monster must be full of hard aspects, that means that the planets must be in the appropriate positions shouldn't they. Astrologers look for planets that are in opposite positions to each other first. It easy. You look at the chart, and you see one planet on one side of the chart, and the other planet on the other side. Then you look at what signs the planets are in. One of the things astrologers do, is to look at moments when you have this positions and then make predictions. That's what Nostradamus did. And he spotted Ayatollah Khomeini. How you wonder? Well he looked at the moment when the Sun starts the seasons. A bit like when in Iran we celebrate the beginning of Spring at the exact time, so you can time the exact time that Autumn starts. So it easy to see if there were any awkward positions four times a year and then flag them.
Ayatollah Khomeini was born on the first day of Autumn on 24 September 1902. All the people of the world born on that day had some stressfull aspects to say the least. Look at these positions. The Moon was conjunct Pluto opposite Uranus. Mars was opposite Jupiter. Uranus is in Sagittarius, and Jupiter is in Aquarius with a square to Venus. This is called a T-square. The point of focus of the T-square is 13 Pisces. What is interesting is that right now the Sun has just moved over the Venus in the chart and the Moon is approaching Uranus in the chart. Anyway, the Equiniox Sun is in awkward aspects to Neptune, but at least remotely in good aspect to Jupiter.
What really motivated this weirdo, was the Moon Pluto opposition to Uranus. He was nonconformist, and ignored the feelings of others. That is the energy that is required for him to do what he did. But perhaps the most powerful message, and clue is the fact that the ruler of the chart is Venus and it is making all those awful aspects to Moon Pluto and Uranus. What a cold uncaring person. Yuk.
I was about to end this article, because of the horrible aspects, and then as I went into the chart, I decided to play around with the possible times of birth. I do not know the time of birth. Maybe someone in that family will let me know, but I somehow doubt it. They are all die-hard Islamists, and they would rather shoot me than talk to me. But the internet remains and I am sure one day someone will find some truth in what I have done and will continue this truth. Good for you mate, if you do. You do a great service for Iran and Astrology. Anyway, I think that the time he was born was just around the time when his Saturn was in 4th with Jupiter. That is 03:00 GMT, whatever that translates to Iran time then, which is probably 06:30 producing a 8 degree libra Ascendant. That also puts the Uranus Pluto Moon in the 3rd House and 9th House and Venus ends up in 11th with Mars which ties in neatly with his interest in politics, and the fact that he lived abroad (Moon in 9th). But perhaps what really made me think that this is the correct time is the fact that this time produces a chart so similar to the royal chart of Iran of the Coronation of Reza Shah which has Libra rising. Am I being a royalist? No. It is the fact that that chart has Libra rising with Moon in Libra. The people of Iran were totally infatuated by this guy. His chart was also so similar to the chart of Iran, and he personified the situation of Iran at the time. My politics aside, this chart or even a royalist's chart of a person born at the same time as him, would have produced the same attraction to the people. Shame that the Shahanshah did not consult astrologers at the time. But then who does? Oh never mind. Life goes on.
